Method

What the numbers count.

Every figure counts job listings Metaintro indexed across independently refreshed 30-day market windows, covering 91 roles in 200 US cities. A listing is counted once, even when it appears in more than one role or city. It counts only when its role and city together have at least 5 listings from 3 or more companies, the same threshold that decides which role and city hubs Metaintro publishes.

Each market snapshot covers the 30 days before that market's own refresh. Markets refresh independently, so the combined counts do not share one observation cutoff. The reconstruction date shows when the total aggregate was rebuilt from retained snapshots, not the end of a common 30-day window. In the CSV, window_days is each market's window length and as_of is the total aggregate's reconstruction timestamp, shared by all rows rather than their individual market refresh times.

These are listings Metaintro indexed, not a count of open jobs. A listing can close during the window and still be counted. Hiring companies are the distinct employers behind the counted listings.

The report shows no change from an earlier period, because the index does not yet keep a comparable earlier window. It shows no state totals either: cities in one state can share listings, so their counts cannot be added up.
